Science
Get ready for an interesting and exciting year of science. You will learn to think and act scientifically, sharpen your problem solving skills and explore science concepts. As we proceed through the Performance Expectations (benchmarks) we will be taught through investigation and discovery. Less emphasis will be placed on memorization of facts and concepts, and more importance is given to the development of ideas and the establishment of thinking connections. Information will be presented and learned through hands on activities, lectures, note taking, small group discussions, experiments and technological activities. We have a year full of discovering and learning ahead of us.
Test Prep
Writing is a key skill to develop in Middle School. Essay mastery is essential for student success now and as the student moves through the educational process. Writing helps you explore your personal thoughts, become better educated and a necessary skill to demonstrate that learning has occurred.
